The guides under Running a Race walk you through the day step by step. The pages here are for looking things up: every rule, setting, and table in one place, organized by topic. Come here when you know roughly what you are after — "what exactly counts toward the standings?", "which timers work?", "what does that CSV column mean?"

The racing

  • Scoring — how Timed and Points scores are worked out, what happens to a car that breaks down, what a tie means, and exactly which heats count toward the standings.
  • Round styles — the full rules for the three ways a round can be raced: everyone in every lane, Balanced, and Elimination.
  • Running order across groups — the opt-in setting that interleaves every den's heats into one running order instead of a block per den, so the track need not idle between them.
  • Championship rounds — where a championship round's racers come from, how the line-up fills itself in, what happens when a time is corrected, and the Slowest Race.
  • Changes in the middle of a race — the rules for a late arrival, a withdrawal, a lane that stops working, a skipped heat, and a corrected result.

Settings and equipment

  • Race and track settings — every field on the race form and the track card, and what each one does, including renaming "Den" and "Pack" to your own words.
  • Timers — which models work and how well, how detection works, every timer state, the remote start gate, and test runs.
  • Audience display views — the six things a screen can show, and how assigning a view from Race Control works.
  • Themes — the seven looks the app, the wall display, and printed pages can each take, what the "Field Uniform (default)" option means, and the printing/ink note.

Paper and records

  • Printed documents — the five things Trusty Track prints, what each shows, and the check-in scanner's messages.
  • Stats and exports — what every number on the Stats page means, and the columns in each CSV export.
  • Backups — what is in a backup file, when a restore is refused, and how to undo one.

People and access

  • Roles and permissions — what a display, the check-in desk, and the operator can each do, and what the activity log records.

Words

  • Glossary — what the words on the screens mean.
